Harry Greig was employed by InterContinental Wellington in July 2013 on a 9-month internship placement as part of his studies at Queenstown Resort College.

Harry demonstrated an excellent understanding of concierge management and our hotel operation very quickly. He has ability far beyond his years with a great vision of hotels and hospitality delivery. He provides excellent professional service and delivery at every opportunity. Harry has become a leader within the Concierge team supervising up to five staff members during a shift whenever required. His understanding of the concierge operation, and in providing a professional outcome is evident and something he continually achieves.

Harry had the opportunity to recruit staff during his placement at InterContinental Wellington. He is now proficient and has the ability to phone screen, interview, employ, onboard and supervise new members to InterContinental Concierge. He has a strong understanding of our brand and the expectations we have for our employees.

Harry is a future leader of the hospitality industry; he has been a revelation to our operation assisting with the development of new standards, producing brand templates, reports, improving communication by way of a weekly Rooms Division Report and creating briefing guidelines. He understands our InterContinental Concierge vision and utilises our key leadership competencies.

Harry will obtain and perfect his skill set and experiences with every opportunity he is offered. It has been a privilege to assist with the mentoring and development at the start of his burgeoning career. I have been amazed by everything he does. His relentless drive for the best possible outcome is a credit to him. He is at all times respectful of his peers and the hotel management team.
